Top Surgery Pillow

Above is a post-op recovery pillow I made for my (upcoming) top surgery
This page features a brief overview on what I did for mine, along with what tutorials I used as references and guides. It features 1" wide straps to tie behind me and two big pockets for ice packs or remotes on both sides, so that it didn't matter which side would be against my chest.I used CreateToDonate's double mastectomy pillow tutorial as my base, and because of the print of my fabric I purchased, I chose to cut my square instead of simply folding it as stated in CTD's tutorial.I also used Ohhhlulu's tutorial for pocket dimensions of 12" by 8", in which I positioned my pockets at approx 5" from the top of the fabric and centered. They also were folded with a 1/2" fold underneath and pressed before sewing them in place with a double stitch for security. The pocket size once made could hold a Safety First Aid Group 'HypaGel' Premium 13x23cm Reusable ice pack.
